Camping Questions

ARE BANDS OR DJS ALLOWED TO SET UP AND PLAY IN THE CAMPGROUNDS?

Renegade stages and sound camps are not allowed. Music will be playing until the morning each night and Wakaan would like to keep that the main focal point. Any unauthorized sound camps or renegade stages will be shut down.

CAN WE HAVE FIRES?

No campfires or open flames/fires of any kind will be permitted at Wakaan Music Festival. This includes tiki torches, fire performance props and campfires.

ARE WE ALLOWED TO BRING GENERATORS?

Gas Generators are allowed but in ONLY the RV areas.

IS THERE ELECTRICITY IN THE CAMPGROUNDS?

There will be electricity access available for Upgraded RV/Tent Campsites ONLY. Primitive and shade camping will NOT have electric hook ups or access to electricity. Gas Generators are allowed in the RV areas but not in general camping or shaded camping.

CAN I BRING A GRILL TO COOK WITH?

Propane grills are allowed unless a burn ban is in place. Propane Grills are allowed that have 1lb or smaller tank. Tanks larger than 1lb will be confiscated and not returned.

Charcoal Grills are not allowed.

We will post updates on our website and social media platforms if there is a burn ban in effect during Wakaan Music Festival weekend.

WHAT TICKET TYPES ALLOW ME TO CAMP NEXT TO MY CAR?

The Shaded Primitive Camping Upgrade does NOT allow you to camp next to your car.

The 3-Day RV Pass (No Hook Ups) allows you to camp next to your car. Each vehicle in the car camping area will be allotted a 20’x20’ space for your entire campsite AND vehicle.

The RV/Tent Campsite Upgrade allows you to camp next to your car. Only 2 vehicles are allowed in the RV or Tent Campsite Upgraded sites per site.

The Glamping Passes do allow for you to camp next to your car.

DOES THE SHADED PRIMITIVE UPGRADE ALLOW ME TO CAMP NEXT TO MY CAR?

The Shaded Primitive Camping Upgrade does NOT allow you to camp next to your car. For this type of camping, you will park near the shaded area and walk a short distance with your gear to the designated sites. Reminder: for this shaded camping access, you will need your 3-Day Pass AND the Upgrade.

HOW IS SPACE DIVIDED UP IN CAMPS?

Each vehicle in the car camping area will have approximately a 20’x20′ space for your entire campsite AND vehicle.

WHAT IS PRIMITIVE CAR CAMPING?

Primitive Car Camping is in the general field and all spaces will have a designated area for their vehicle and campsite (including tents, canopies, etc). You can carpool with your friends, but every person in the camping party MUST have a 3-Day Pass that includes camping.

WHAT IS THE SHADED PRIMITIVE CAMPING UPGRADE?

Shaded Primitive Camping is a tent-only wooded campsite area. This camping option is the closest to the main stage. The campsites feature plenty of flat space and trees all around for shade and hanging hammocks. These are not designated spaces and are first come, first served. The Shaded Primitive Camping Upgrade does NOT allow you to camp next to your car. For this type of camping, you will park near the shaded area and walk a short distance with your gear to the designated sites. Reminder: for this shaded camping access, you will need your 3-Day Pass AND the Upgrade.

RV QUESTIONS

WHAT IS CONSIDERED AN RV OR CAMPER?

Any large vehicle (15 passenger or larger) would be considered an RV. This includes tow-behind trailers, motorhome style RVs, school buses, pop-up campers, etc. You must have a 3-Day RV Pass to bring any of the previously listed vehicles/trailers on site.

Box Trucks are not allowed in camping area.

 

HOW MUCH POWER IS AT EACH RV SITE?

There will be ONE 30amp outlet electricity access available per each Upgraded RV/Tent Campsite ONLY. A 3-Day RV Pass does NOT come standard with electric hook ups.

CAN MY FRIENDS PARK A CAR NEXT TO MY RV?

One vehicle is allowed per camp spot. If your friends are in THAT vehicle, then yes, they can. Separate vehicles will not be parked next to your RV spot.

IF I’M COMING WITH FRIENDS THAT ALSO HAVE AN RV, CAN I CAMP BY THEM?

To camp next to a friend that also has an RV, you must be next to each other upon arrival. By arriving together, you will be parked in order next to eachother accordingly. However, if one RV is the last RV on the row, you may be parked starting on the next row.

WILL WE BE ALLOWED TO MOVE THE RV OR CAMPER ONCE IT’S PARKED?

No, once an RV is parked, it needs to remain in place until the end of the festival. NO EXCEPTIONS.

ARE THERE FLUSHABLE TOILETS AND SHOWERS?

There are flushable toilets and showers located ONLY in RV/Tent Upgraded campsites. You must have the upgraded pass to access this area. A 3-Day RV Pass does NOT come standard with flushable toilets and showers, and do not come with hook ups. VIP and GA Primitive Camping will not have access to these bathrooms.

ON-SITE INFORMATION

VEHICLES

Each vehicle and individual will be thoroughly searched upon entering the grounds. Please refer to the prohibited items list regarding what not to bring. Bikes, scooters, segways, pocket bikes, ATVs, and golf carts are NOT allowed.

PETS

NO pets are allowed at the festival. Please leave your furry friends at home!

INFO BOOTH

Attendees are encouraged to get information from the front gates/entrance upon arrival.

WATER

There will be multiple hydration fill stations throughout the festival grounds including the main stage area and camping. Upgraded RV/Tent campsites will have water hookups available and showers at the bathrooms.

RESTROOMS

The festival will have Porto Potties at the ends of camping rows, by the stages and in the concert areas. VIP/Gold VIP will have access to air conditioned restroom trailers within the concert area. Upgraded RV spots have an on-site bathroom facility to use.

ELECTRICITY

There will be electricity access available for Upgraded RV/Tent Campsites ONLY. Primitive and shade camping will NOT have electric hook ups or access to electricity. Gas Generators are NOT allowed in any of the camping areas (except for RV Areas).

WHEN LEAVING, LEAVE NO TRACE.

Please respect the land and festival grounds!
If you bring it, LEAVE WITH IT. Do not leave any trace at your campsite and please pick up after yourself throughout the event. When leaving, please leave all trash in trash bags at the designated trashcan areas. Our staff will come around to pick up trash bags and take them to the dumpsters or recycling bins. DO NOT leave large items such as tents, shade shelters, chairs, etc.
