Camping and RV FAQ

Camping Questions

WHAT IS GENERAL CAMPING?

General Camping is in the general field and all spaces will have a designated area for their vehicle and campsite (including tents, canopies, etc). You can carpool with your friends, but every person in the camping party MUST have a 3-Day Pass that includes camping. If driving a vehicle on site, you must purchase a Car Camping Pass. 1 Car Pass Per Car Required.

WHAT IS THE SHADED PRIMITIVE CAMPING UPGRADE?

Shaded Primitive Camping is a tent-only wooded campsite area. This camping option is the closest to the main stage. The campsites feature plenty of flat space and trees all around for shade and hanging hammocks. These are not designated spaces and are first come, first served. The Shaded Primitive Camping Upgrade does NOT allow you to camp next to your car. For this type of camping, you will park near the shaded area and walk a short distance with your gear to the designated sites. Reminder: for this shaded camping access, you will need your 3-Day Pass AND the Upgrade.

WHAT IS THE PREMIUM CAMPING UPGRADE?

New for 2024, the premier camping upgrade will reserve a space for you near the main stage concert area. Premier camping is a great option for those who want to ensure they will be close to all the action or if you’re arriving later and want to be as close to the main stage as possible!

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE A CAR PASS?

Yes, a car pass is required for all cars entering the festival grounds with the only exception being those who are in an Upgraded RV Power & Water pass.

IS THERE ELECTRICITY IN THE CAMPGROUNDS?

There will be electricity access available for Upgraded RV/Tent and Glamping Campsites ONLY. Primitive and shade camping will NOT have electric hook ups or access to electricity. Gas Generators are allowed in the RV areas but not in general camping or shaded camping.

ARE WE ALLOWED TO BRING GENERATORS?

Gas Generators are allowed but in ONLY the RV areas.

CAN WE HAVE FIRES?

No campfires or open flames/fires of any kind will be permitted at Wakaan Music Festival. This includes tiki torches, fire performance props and campfires.

CAN I BRING A GRILL TO COOK WITH?

Small camping propane grills are allowed unless a burn ban is in place. Propane Grills are allowed that have 1lb or smaller tank. Tanks larger than 1lb will be confiscated and not returned.

Charcoal Grills are not allowed.

We will post updates on our website and social media platforms if there is a burn ban in effect during Wakaan Music Festival weekend.

ARE BANDS OR DJS ALLOWED TO SET UP AND PLAY IN THE CAMPGROUNDS?

Renegade stages and sound camps are not allowed. Music will be playing until the morning each night and Wakaan would like to keep that the main focal point. Any unauthorized sound camps or renegade stages will be shut down.

WHAT TICKET TYPES ALLOW ME TO CAMP NEXT TO MY CAR?

GA & VIP (Car Pass Required).

Premium Camping (Car Pass Required).

The 3-Day RV Pass (Primitive – No Hook Ups) allows you to camp next to your car. Each vehicle in the car camping area will be allotted a 15’x40’ space for your entire campsite AND vehicle.

The RV/Tent Campsite Upgrade allows you to camp next to your car. Only the RV, bus or trailer (plus car used to tow) are allowed in the RV or Tent Campsite Upgraded sites per site.

WHAT TICKET TYPE DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO CAMP NEXT TO MY CAR?

The Shaded Primitive Camping Upgrade does NOT allow you to camp next to your car. For this type of camping, you will park near the shaded area and walk a short distance with your gear to the designated sites. Reminder: for this shaded camping access, you will need your 3-Day Pass AND the Upgrade. 1 Pass Per Person

The Glamping Passes do not allow for you to camp next to your car. Cars will start being parked 30-40 FT away from the Glamping Area.

HOW IS SPACE DIVIDED UP IN CAMPS?

Each vehicle in the car camping area will have approximately a 20’x20′ space for your entire campsite AND vehicle.

RV QUESTIONS

WHAT IS PRIMITIVE RV CAMPING?

This pass allows the ticket holder to bring an RV, Bus, Trailer or any other vehicle larger than a standard size car or suv. (No Box Trucks of any kind allowed) 

This pass DOES NOT INCLUDE ELECTRIC OR WATER HOOK UPS! Vehicles with this pass will be parked in the primitive camping area by the ‘Prism’ Stage. This is ONLY the PARKING PASS Add On and does not include entry into the festival or allow any additional vehicle to be parked with the RV. 

A 3-day GA or VIP pass must be purchased separately for each individual staying in the RV/BUS/Trailer.

WHAT IS POWER & WATER UPGRADE RV CAMPING?

This pass allows the ticket holders to bring an RV, Bus, Trailer OR 2 normal size cars or SUV’s (not both) to park on the concrete slabs by ‘Halo’ Stage. This pass includes ELECTRIC & WATER camper hookups and also allows access to bathrooms with showers and flushable toilets. You will be assigned a specific campsite number upon arrival and given shower wristbands with an allotment of up to 8 people.  

A 3-Day GA or VIP pass will need to be purchased separately by each individual person for this pass to be valid

No Box Trucks of any kind allowed

If you purchase this pass you do NOT need to purchase an additional RV Pass or Car Pass

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE A CAR PASS?

No, a car pass is only required for all general sized cars and SUV’s entering the festival grounds. If you are bringing an RV, you need to purchase an Upgraded Power and Water RV Pass or a Primitive RV Pass which both will act as your Car Pass.

WHAT IS CONSIDERED AN RV OR CAMPER?

Tow-behind trailers, motorhome style RVs, school buses, pop-up campers, camper/oversized vans etc. You must have a primitive or powered RV Pass to bring any of the previously listed vehicles/trailers on site.You must have a 3-Day RV Pass to bring any of the previously listed vehicles/trailers on site.

Box Trucks are not allowed on the property for any type of camping.

 

HOW MUCH POWER IS AT EACH UPGRADED RV SITE?

There will be ONE 30amp outlet electricity access available per each Upgraded RV/Tent Campsite ONLY. A 3-Day RV Pass does NOT come standard with electric hook ups.

CAN MY FRIENDS PARK A CAR NEXT TO MY RV?

No, only the RV, Bus or Trailer and/or the car towing is allowed to park in the powered RV spot. Cars arriving separately or following will be parked in a different lot.

IF IM ARRIVING IN AN RV & MY FRIENDS ALSO HAVE AN RV, CAN I CAMP NEXT TO THEM?

To camp next to a friend that also has an RV, you must be next to each other upon arrival. By arriving together, you will be parked in order next to each other accordingly. However, if one RV is the last RV on the row, you may be parked starting on the next row.

IF MY FRIENDS ARE COMING AFTER ME CAN I SAVE THEM A CAMPSITE NEXT TO MINE?

No, all sites are first come first serve and if you’d like to camp next to your friends you will need to arrive and drive in together.

WILL WE BE ALLOWED TO MOVE THE RV OR CAMPER ONCE IT’S PARKED?

No, once an RV is parked, it needs to remain in place until the end of the festival. NO EXCEPTIONS.

ARE THERE FLUSHABLE TOILETS AND SHOWERS?

There are flushable toilets and showers located ONLY in RV/Tent Upgraded campsites. You must have the upgraded pass to access this area. A 3-Day RV Pass does NOT come standard with flushable toilets and showers, and do not come with hook ups. VIP and GA Primitive Camping will not have access to these bathrooms.

Glamping

WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH A GLAMPING PASS?

This pass is an add-on ticket that reserves a Glamping setup which includes a Yurt style tent, mattress (bed count based on ticket selection), liens, pillows, blankets, rug, lantern, table w/ chairs, nightstands and tent lock. Glamping is a great option for those who are flying into the festival without camping gear or for anyone looking to elevate their camping experience! A 3-day GA or VIP festival pass is required in addition to the Glamping pass for all attendees staying in the yurt.

ARE GLAMPING SITES POWERED?

Yes! Glamping sites will have standard 15 amp outlets for powering small electronics such as cell phone chargers, a fan, lights etc.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN STAY IN ONE YURT?

2-4 depending on which bed configuration is chosen. Please see ticket type for details and selection.

WHERE DO I PARK IF I HAVE A GLAMPING PASS?

Glamping pass holders will park in a lot next to the glamping area and walk a short distance to their designated yurt with their gear.

ON-SITE INFORMATION

VEHICLES

Each vehicle and individual will be thoroughly searched upon entering the grounds. Please refer to the prohibited items list regarding what not to bring. Bikes, scooters, segways, pocket bikes, ATVs, and golf carts are NOT allowed.

PETS

NO pets are allowed at the festival. Please leave your best friends at home!

INFO BOOTH

Attendees are encouraged to get information from the front gates/entrance upon arrival.

WATER

There will be multiple hydration fill stations throughout the festival grounds including the main stage area and camping. Upgraded RV/Tent campsites will have water hookups available and showers at the bathrooms.

RESTROOMS

The festival will have Porto Potties at the ends of camping rows, by the stages and in the concert areas. VIP/Gold VIP will have access to air conditioned restroom trailers within the concert area. Upgraded RV spots have an on-site bathroom facility to use.

ELECTRICITY

There will be electricity access available for Upgraded RV/Tent Campsites ONLY. Primitive and shade camping will NOT have electric hook ups or access to electricity. Gas Generators are NOT allowed in any of the camping areas (except for RV Areas).

WHEN LEAVING, LEAVE NO TRACE.

Please respect the land and festival grounds!
If you bring it, LEAVE WITH IT. Do not leave any trace at your campsite and please pick up after yourself throughout the event. When leaving, please leave all trash in trash bags at the designated trashcan areas. Our staff will come around to pick up trash bags and take them to the dumpsters or recycling bins. DO NOT leave large items such as tents, shade shelters, chairs, etc.
